Content-first growth marketing professional.
5+ years in B2B SaaS, the last 3.5 at Upmetrics, going from writing articles to leading a 14-person team across content, design, video, SEO, and dev. I care more about whether content is worth reading than whether it ranks.
I believe: Taste > Tools."AI can write five decent drafts. Knowing which one is actually good is the job."

Where content stopped being the whole job and growth became the point. Ran growth across content and email while leading a 14-person team, and started building AI into how we actually work.

The team-building stretch. Took content from a two-person scramble to a real operation across Upmetrics, Bizplanr, and PlanGrowLab.
Where it started. Head down, writing a lot, learning the product inside out.

My job title says content and growth marketer. But I'm a few other things too: someone who writes, reads, experiments, cracks jokes, and gets a little too into philosophy at the wrong moments.
The work has mostly been shaped by the last few years at Upmetrics, going from writing articles to leading a team across content, design, video, SEO, and dev. I like the whole arc of it: figuring out what to say, who it's for, and how it actually moves the business.
The newer thread is AI. I'm one of those people who keeps poking at it, asking weird questions, trying to use it for things it wasn't obviously built for, mostly to see what works and what doesn't. I started documenting those experiments on The Refluke Guy, where I share what really happens when you put these tools to work in marketing, minus the hype.
My take is taste over tools. AI can do a lot now, so the rare part isn't access, it's knowing what's actually good.
Always up for trading notes on content, growth, or where AI is genuinely useful. And yes, exploring new roles right now, so if that's you, say hi.
Looking for senior roles in content, growth, or product marketing at AI-native SaaS companies that are building something worth talking about. If that sounds like your team, say hi.
